Our CSR Commitment
At Recovr, our work extends far beyond the therapy room.
We were created with a clear and heartfelt mission: to strengthen the pathway of healing within our community by supporting both survivors of domestic abuse and the counsellors who walk alongside them.
As part of our corporate social responsibility, Recovr is deeply committed to advancing the work of The Angels Foundation UK.
The Angels Foundation UK provides practical and emotional long-term support to individuals and families after crisis services end. Their work focuses on the often overlooked stage of recovery, helping survivors rebuild stability, dignity, and safety.
Recovr was designed to change that.
Many of our therapists first volunteered with the charity during their training, offering trauma-informed support to women and families recovering from domestic abuse.
These counsellors often give their time freely, driven by compassion but with few opportunities for sustainable employment once qualified.
By providing paid roles for the qualified therapists who served with The Angels Foundation UK, we ensure they have meaningful, secure work to step into as they begin their professional journey.
This model not only honours their dedication, it strengthens the entire ecosystem of community care.
They do this by:
Providing essential home items like flooring, furniture, and white goods
Reducing furniture poverty, a key factor linked to survivor relapse
Offering trauma-informed therapy to support emotional recovery
Creating safe, stable environments to prevent women from returning to dangerous situations
Since 2020, The Angels have transformed the lives of families across Cambridgeshire, offering a lifeline when the initial crisis support fades.
